Crochet a cute gingerbread man with this detailed amigurumi pattern by Marizza Toys.
It’s a lovely handmade toy for your Christmas décor or a sweet holiday gift idea.
Recommended yarns: Alize Cotton Gold or YarnArt Jeans (or similar alternatives).
Add two buttons for decoration, embroider the face, and make a small crochet bow tie.
Finished size: approx. 15–16 cm (6–6.5 in)

Arms
Start with beige yarn. Stuff the arms about ⅔ full.
1 rnd: 6 sc in MR (6)
2 rnd: 6 inc (12)
3–4 rnds: sc in each st (12)
Change to red:
5 rnd: sc in each st (12)
Change to white:
6 rnd: sc in each st (12)
Change to beige:
7–13 rnds: sc in each st (12)
14 rnd: (4 sc, dec) × 2 (10)
15 rnd: sc in each st (10)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the arms to the body at round 17.
Legs
Start with beige yarn. Stuff as you go.
1 rnd: 6 sc in MR (6)
2 rnd: 6 inc (12)

Change to red:

For the left leg – fasten off.
For the right leg – do not cut the yarn; continue crocheting the body.
Body
1 rnd: Crochet 6 sc on the right leg, attach the left leg and crochet 21 sc around it, then 21 sc around the right leg. Place marker (42)

3–8 rnds: sc in each st (48)
9 rnd: 3 sc, dec, (6 sc, dec) × 5, 3 sc (42)
10–11 rnds: sc in each st (42)

Stuff the body firmly, especially around the neck.
Do not cut the yarn — continue with the head.
Head
Continue with beige yarn. Stuff as you go.

Insert safety eyes between rounds 8 and 9, leaving 8 stitches between the holes (6 visible stitches between the eyes).
16 rnd: 3 sc, dec, (6 sc, dec) × 5, 3 sc (42)

Make sure the head is stuffed firmly. Close the hole and weave in the yarn end.
Embroider eyebrows on round 12 and a smile on round 6 with black floss.
Use red floss to embroider cheeks between rounds 6 and 7.
Icing (White Glaze)
Crochet with white yarn.
1 rnd: 8 sc in MR (8)
2 rnd: 8 inc (16)
3 rnd: (sc, inc) × 8 (24)
4 rnd: (3 sc, inc) × 6 (30)
5 rnd: (4 sc, inc) × 6 (36)
6 rnd: sc in each st (36)
7 rnd: (5 sc, 4 hdc in one st) × 6
Finish with a sl st. Leave a tail for sewing.
Sew the icing on top of the head.
Bow Tie
Crochet with red yarn.
1 rnd: ch 11, starting from 2nd ch from hook – 10 sc
2–5 rnds: ch 1, turn, 10 sc
Finish off and hide the yarn ends.
Using a needle, wrap yarn several times around the center to shape the bow, tie securely.
Sew the bow tie under the head.
Sew on two buttons as shown in the photo.
