Norwegian Pattern:
Work according to charts A and B. All rows are shown on the charts; each square represents 1 stitch × 1 row of the pattern.
To avoid holes when changing yarn colors, twist the working yarns together on the wrong side of the fabric each time you switch colors.
When knitting larger areas of the same color, twist the yarns together from time to time on the wrong side to prevent long floats and ensure even tension.Arrows and vertical guide lines on the charts indicate stitches for each specific size:
– between arrows a — for size 34/36,
– between arrows b — for size 38/40,
– between arrows c — for size 42/44.
Decreases:
-
Right edge: slip 1 knitwise, k1, pass slipped stitch over (skp).
-
Left edge: knit to last 4 sts, k2tog, k1, edge st.
Gauge:
14.5 sts x 17 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Norwegian pattern using needles No. 8.
