The drum consists of two circular bases and a side panel, which are crocheted separately and then assembled.
Drum Base (Make 2)
Each round begins with 1 chain stitch as a turning chain (not counted in total stitches).
Start with a magic ring using white yarn and work in rounds:
Round 1: 6 half double crochets (hdc) into the ring, join with slip stitch to first hdc. (6 sts)
Round 2: 2 hdc in each stitch around. (12 sts)
Round 3: 1 hdc in next stitch, 2 hdc in next – repeat around. (18 sts)
Round 4: 1 hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next – repeat around. (24 sts)
Round 5: 1 hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next – repeat around. (30 sts)
Round 6: 1 hdc in next 4 sts, 2 hdc in next – repeat around. (36 sts)
Round 7: 1 hdc in next 5 sts, 2 hdc in next – repeat around. (42 sts)
Fasten off and make a second identical circle.

Side Panel
Using red yarn, chain 43.
Row 1: 1 hdc in second chain from hook and in each chain across. Ch 1, turn. (42 sts)
Row 2: 1 hdc in each stitch across. At end, switch to white yarn. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3–4: 1 hdc in each stitch across. After Row 4, switch back to red yarn. Ch 1, turn.
Row 5–6: 1 hdc in each stitch across. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly

Cut two cardboard circles, each 5 cm in diameter.

Sew the short ends of the side panel together to form a ring.

Attach one drum base to the side panel using beige yarn and hdc stitches.

Insert one cardboard circle, stuff the inside with fiberfill.

Place the second cardboard circle and attach the second base using hdc stitches.

Using beige yarn, embroider zigzag lines from one drum base to the other, as shown in the photo.

Add a hanging loop made of beige yarn at the top.
