Instructions
Using black yarn and size 5 circular needles, loosely cast on 140 sts.
Work 5 rounds in Rib 1.
Continue in stockinette stitch, decreasing 5 sts evenly in the first round = 135 sts.
After 18 cm from the cast-on edge, begin working the Fair Isle pattern from the chart.
When the pattern is complete, switch back to black yarn and continue in stockinette stitch.
Work 4 rounds, then decrease 3 sts evenly in the next round = 132 sts.
Switch to size 4.5 circular needles and work 5 rounds in Rib 2.
Next round: K2, P2tog, repeat from * to *.
Work 6 more rounds in Rib 3. Bind off all sts in the last round.
Fold the wide ribbing (which will face the front) to the inside to hide the wrong side of the work.
