Body
Continue from the head:18. (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
19-20. 24 sc
21. 9 sc, 6 inc, 9 sc (30)
22. 9 sc, (inc, 1 sc) x 6, 9 sc (36)
23–28. 36 sc
Insert safety eyes between rows 8–9, spaced 6 stitches apart (from post to post). Align eyes relative to the protruding belly part. Use pins to plan the placement symmetrically if needed. Firmly stuff the head, paying attention to the cheeks.
29. (4 sc, dec) x 6 (30)
30. (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)
31. (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
32. (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
33. 6 dec (6)
Pull the hole closed and hide the yarn inside.
Arms (make 2)
1. 6 sc in MR (6)
2. 6 inc (12)
3-4. 12 sc
5. (2 sc, dec) x 3 (9)
Stuff the bottom part only; do not stuff the rest.
6–14. 9 sc
Fold the arm in half and sc through both layers (4 sc). Leave a yarn tail for sewing to the body.
Legs (make 2)
1. 6 sc in MR (6)
2. 6 inc (12)
3. (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4–6. 18 sc
7. 3 sc, 6 dec, 3 sc (12)
8–16. 12 sc
After Round 16:
Lightly stuff the bottom of each leg — just enough to shape the foot. Leave the upper part unstuffed.
Make 2 offset stitches before folding the leg in half — this helps the feet face forward when sewn.
Then fold the leg and crochet across the top through both layers (5 sc). Leave a yarn tail for sewing.
Assembly
Make eye indentation using your preferred method.
I use this scheme:
1–2–3–1 (first eye), 4–5–6–4 (second eye).
Then I tie knots and make another pull to align the eyes better:
1–2–3–4–5–6, tighten slightly, tie the knots, and hide them inside the head.
Sew arms between rows 19–20 (counted from the top of the head), and sew legs between rows 8–9 (counted from the bottom of the body).
For the hair tuft, use yarn scraps from attaching arms and legs. Tie them around the magic ring on top of the head. Trim to desired length and separate strands for a fluffy effect.

Face Embroidery
Embroider eyelids, frowny eyebrows, yellow eye whites, wrinkles, nose, and a wide grin.
You can copy this expression or create your own unique face.

Edge both ends of the scarf with Softy yarn. Gently stretch the red part with your hands to even it out.

2. 6 inc (12)

Do I stuff the bottom of feet like I did with the arms? Are the offset stitches before you sc the top of leg?
THANK YOU
Hi Deedey! 😊
Yes — you can lightly stuff just the bottom part of the feet, the same way as with the arms. The upper part of the legs should stay unstuffed so they bend nicely when sewn to the body.
And yes — the 2 offset stitches are made before you fold the leg and crochet across the top (through both layers). This helps the feet face forward in the correct position.
We’ve added a short note after Round 16 in the pattern to make this part clearer for everyone.
Thank you for your careful attention to detail and for making the Grinch! 💚
