A long scarf adorned with an intricate pattern is knit “in the round” to avoid visible yarn transitions.

25 x 220 cm
YOU WILL NEED
Yarn (60% alpaca wool, 10% silk, 30% sheep wool; 50 g/165 m) — 8 skeins of white, 5 skeins of brown; circular needles size 3 (60 cm).
Patterns and Charts
Stockinette Stitch
Knit stitches on the right side, purl stitches on the wrong side.
Jacquard Pattern
Knit in stockinette stitch following the chart.

Gauge
26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitted in stockinette stitch with one strand of yarn using size 3 needles.
Important!
Ensure that your knitting gauge matches the specified gauge.
The scarf is knit in one strand “in the round” to hide the wrong side of the fabric in the finished piece.
INSTRUCTIONS
Using size 3 circular needles, cast on 168 stitches with the white yarn and knit in stockinette stitch following the Jacquard pattern from the chart. When the scarf reaches a length of 200 cm, finish the pattern as shown on the chart and bind off the stitches.
Sew the edges of the scarf at both ends with the white yarn.
