Small Pumpkin – Crochet Pattern

Using this description, you can crochet an autumn pumpkin. The toy can be used as a keychain or as a decorative element. For this amigurumi project, you can use any yarn and a matching hook. You can choose any colors for the pumpkin: yellow, orange, mustard, brown. The leaf and stem are crocheted as separate pieces. The main body of the toy is made using half double crochet stitches.

Crochet instructions for the amigurumi pumpkin

Body:

Chain 20 ch + 2 ch for turning, turn your work, and make an hdc into the third chain from the hook.

Continue crocheting hdc until the end of the row. At the end of the row, make 2 ch and turn your work. Crochet the following rows by working in the back loop only of the previous row. Continue this way for 20 rows. Fold the piece in half, sew it up, and turn it inside out. Tighten the bottom of the pumpkin, stuff it lightly, and then tighten the top. Secure the thread.

Shaping

Visually divide the pumpkin into 5 sections and shape it by pulling the yarn through to create indentations.

Stem

1. Chain 7 + 1 ch for turning, turn your work.
2. Starting from the second chain from the hook, make 7 sc.

Leaf

1. Chain 5 + 1 ch for turning, turn your work.
2. Make 4 sc, 3 sc in one stitch, continue on the other side of the chain with 3 sc, 1 ch, turn.
3. Make 4 sc, 3 sc in one stitch, 3 sc, 1 ch, turn.
4. Make 5 sc, sl st.

Sew the leaf and stem onto the pumpkin. Done!
