Sizes
36/38 (40/42) 44/46
YOU WILL NEED
Yarn 1 (100% merino wool; 80 m/50 g) — 600 (650) 700 g in beige;
Yarn 2 (100% polyamide; 50 m/50 g) 50 g in taupe;
Needles No. 5.5; circular needles No. 4.5.
Stitches and Patterns
Stockinette Stitch
Knit stitches on the right side, purl stitches on the wrong side.
Colorwork Pattern
Work on 66 stitches in stockinette stitch according to the chart. Use a separate ball of yarn for each color section, twisting the yarns on the wrong side when changing colors to avoid holes. For small beige sections, carry the yarn loosely across the wrong side of the work.
Edge stitches are included in the chart. The chart shows only right-side rows. On the wrong side, follow the pattern for both stitches and colors.
Work rows 1 to 88 once.
Ribbing
Alternate 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch.
Decorative Decreases
Right edge: slip the edge stitch, knit 2 stitches together.
Left edge: knit the last 2 stitches before the edge stitch together with a left-leaning decrease (slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1, then pass the slipped stitch over the knit stitch), then knit the edge stitch.
Gauge
17.5 stitches x 24.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitted in stockinette stitch with needles No. 5.5.

INSTRUCTIONS
Back
With beige yarn, cast on 82 (89) 96 stitches using needles No. 5.5 and knit in stockinette stitch between the edge stitches.
After 42.5 cm = 104 rows from the cast-on edge, bind off 4 stitches on each side for the raglan slope, then decrease 1 stitch with decorative decreases in every 2nd row 19 (21) 23 times.
At 59 cm = 144 rows (60.5 cm = 148 rows) 62 cm = 152 rows from the cast-on edge, leave the remaining 36 (39) 42 stitches on hold.
Front
Work as for the back, but with the colorwork pattern and neckline.
For the colorwork pattern, after 6.5 cm = 16 rows from the cast-on edge, work on the 14th–79th stitches (20th–85th stitches) 26th–91st stitches after the edge stitch according to the chart. Knit the stockinette stitch in beige yarn on both sides of the chart pattern.
At 54 cm = 132 rows (55.5 cm = 136 rows) 57 cm = 140 rows from the cast-on edge, leave the center 20 (23) 26 stitches for the neckline and finish each side separately.
For rounding the neckline, bind off 3 stitches, 2 stitches, and 1 stitch in every 2nd row on the inner edge. At the same height as the back, bind off the remaining 2 stitches for the neckline.
Sleeves
With beige yarn, cast on 46 (49) 53 stitches using needles No. 5.5 for each sleeve and knit in stockinette stitch between the edge stitches.
For sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch on both sides in every 20th row from the cast-on edge 4 times = 54 (57) 61 stitches.
After 40.5 cm = 100 rows from the cast-on edge, bind off 4 stitches on each side for the raglan slope, then decrease 1 stitch in every 4th row 9 (10) 11 times.
At 57 cm = 140 rows (58.5 cm = 144 rows) 60 cm = 148 rows from the cast-on edge, leave 28 (29) 31 stitches on hold.
Assembly
Sew the raglan seams.
For the neckline band, pick up all held stitches with circular needles, knitting the edge stitches together, and pick up 8 stitches on each side of the neckline curve. With all 124 (132) 142 stitches, knit in ribbing in the round. When the band reaches 3 cm = 10 rounds, bind off all stitches following the rib pattern.
Sew the side seams and sleeve seams.
