INSTRUCTIONS
Back
Starting from the left sleeve, cast on 35 (39) stitches and knit a cable pattern between the edge stitches, starting with 3 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch (from the last 5 stitches of the cable) and ending with 4 (2) stitches in reverse stockinette stitch.
After 9.5 cm = 22 rows from the beginning, increase for sleeve shaping on the right edge by 1 stitch, then in every 2nd row 4 more times by 1 stitch according to the pattern = 40 (44) stitches.
For the back, after 14 cm = 32 rows from the beginning, cast on 41 (48) new stitches on the right edge and incorporate them into the pattern = 81 (92) stitches.
After 29.5 cm = 68 rows (31 cm = 72 rows) from the beginning, bind off 17 stitches on the left edge for the neckline = 64 (75) stitches.
After 39 cm = 90 rows (42 cm = 97 rows) from the beginning, the middle of the work is reached. From this point, continue knitting in a mirror image, with increases becoming decreases, and vice versa.
After 78 cm = 180 rows (84 cm = 194 rows) from the beginning, bind off the remaining 34 (39) stitches according to the pattern.
For the waistband, pick up 86 (94) stitches along the right edge of the work and knit 18.5 cm in ribbing back and forth, then bind off all stitches as knit.
Front
Knit as the back.
Assembly
Sew the shoulder seams and the upper sleeve seams.
Pick up 84 (96) stitches around the neckline using circular needles and knit 3.5 cm in ribbing in the round, then bind off all stitches as they appear.
Pick up 54 (62) stitches along each sleeve edge and knit ribbing back and forth. For the sleeve taper, decrease 1 stitch on each side in every 8th row from the stitch pickup, 7 times = 40 (48) stitches. When the cuff reaches a width of 28 cm, bind off all stitches as knit.
Sew the side seams and the lower sleeve seams.
